The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) have unveiled the first-of-its-kind initiative, a chatbot to assist its users in clarifying their queries.
The AI chatbot– Ask Disha- is power-driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI), aimed at for offering assistance accessibility by answering users’ queries regarding various services offered by IRCTC.
This feature is already available on the bottom right corner of IRCTC’s refurbished website. This will soon be launched for IRCTC’s Android app. In addition, the AI chatbot will give voice assistance and it will soon be supporting several regional languages.
“The IRCTC Chat Bot Ask Disha will offer greatly improved and intuitive customer support by answering customer queries pertaining to all aspects of the services that IRCTC provides,” said IRCTC in its official communiqué.
Users visit IRCTC’s website can clarify their doubts by following AI chatbot’s instructions. As soon as the user types his query, the AI chatbot will automatically show some options based on the typed phrases.
User can then either opt for one of the queries from the displayed options or type a complete question if his/her query is not available on the screen.
The Ask Disha chatbot is a joint effort by IRCTC and CoRover Private Limited, which is a Bengaluru-based startup. CoRover Private Limited designs AI and machine learning based chatbots in regards to travel and tourism.
